So i've thought of something, weird i know :P I've thought about how much I have done this year in Sweden, I might be seriously bored when I go home to Texas! Ahhh its making me sad thinking about it, and also quite exhausting...

One of the most amazing days of my life! It might not have ended fabulously, but the next I could not stop talking about it! And I was lucky enough to have my mom there to see it :D The day started when my alarm went off at 6:45 Saturday morning and the day ended at 4:15 A.M. Sunday the next morning. The ball is something that is done all over Sweden, it is something we have been working on since the end of January, every Sunday and some Wednesdays even. We dance the waltz in different patterns for about an hour, than head out with a fabulous vehicle to the park where we have a picnic with friends, later parade through town to the dinner and dance all night till the sun rises again :P Fun Fun and super swedish ;)

I thought it was about time :P

Alot has happened since the last update... It's been crazy, I don't even have to study and its crazy!! I guess I'll start with all the studentskivor, which are like a bunch of little proms, dinner and dancing... I've gone to 4 and been invited to 5, YAYA!

My computer might just be driving me crazy! No it won't even turn on. One day it will be fixed, and life will be great again:P

I can survive without my computer..I swear! I had school today, and got to ride my bike through the rain to get there. Even though I was a tad angry about the rain, it was still beautiful outside, and it smelled so fresh! A smell that doesn't even exist at 6 in the morning at a golf course in Texas! Thats fresh...haha...Now it's sunny again, and about to leave to go work out with Klara. YAY! It's definitely something I am going to start when I go home again. I feel super good afterwards! After tommorow the next week will be NON-STOP doing things. My first studentskiva, school next morning, Kalmar for 3 days, back again just in time for my second studentskiva, and balträning next morning. I most likely wont be posting anything for the next week=) INTENSE!

Fun fact of the day, last night I didn't come home till around 9ish and it was still bright outside! And to add on to the crazyness, its hot in Sweden! Am I blowing your mind!?! haha...I had lunch today outside with Helen my contactperson for rotary. It such a pretty day today, and now I'm stuck in school again to sit in a class for about 2 hours...Awesome(sarcasm):P I have an hour of bal practice today which should be a lot of fun:) It's seriously intense!

Today was a very normal Monday, for me. Tired after the weekend. Stressed for upcoming plans. And friends that study:P I had school today from 8 till 2. Photography till 10, Biology till 12, lunch, then physics till 2. GREATNESS;) I fixed my dress after school, I wore it for about 30 minutes before I really felt comfortable in it. I'm not used to wearing such an elegant dress. Not only is it beautiful, but also quite expensive.... When I got home I went straight to brainstorming on my project for rotary, then sat outside in the sun for a while. With all the cold wether we got to experience I'm thinking we deserve the sun=)

Friday was spent celebrating Nina getting her drivers license. It started with driving as much as possible before we had to eat:) I made her drive me to Gamla Linköping("old Linköping"). Random I know:P But sO much fun! We left to go pick up Klara & Vickan, where we drove yet again to buy some greatness to grill in the park. When we were done there, left to go rent a movie, De Vuxna, a french movie, personally, not the greatest movie, but Björn Gustaffson was in it;) The night ended with meeting some friends in town. Great Friday!'

Yesterday was really good. Lunch in the park, Musical at night, mys kväll at Camilla's house, and in town at night to meet Nina.

Today woke up early to go to an early practice for balen with Nina, left to have lunch with Nina, went back to practice where i ran into everyone, and watched them practice. I love watching others practice! We left early to make it in time for the Show with Nina, where I was happily supprised see that another friend Johan was also in the show:)

Fun Fact---If you click on the picture above of Nina in the locker room, you will notice her shirt:P It's funny, b/c she has worn that shirt to school several times now, and no one says anything about it. Where in Texas, if she wore that to my school, it would be a somewhat of a deal. Interesting I know:)

Today was really good. It was possible to sit outside and NOT freeze! That itself is awesome. Me and some friends went into to town to just hang out. And it was seriously alot of fun. I got to see Bronte again. I miss her! I barely get to see her anymore... We all bought ice cream, and it seriously was the best 2 choices i've made in a very long time. Passion Fruit & Blood Orange Sorbet A-MAZE-ING!!! I ended up getting a serious red tounge and red lips with it:P

At about 9 o'clock tonight I officially signed up to go on the European Tour. This means I get to go on a once in a life time adventure, but get leave some the greatest friends ever a little early.

Thats what I call seriously BitterSweet!

Which ones prettier? I'm thinking that that question is pretty simple, but in thought of which one means the most to me. I would most likely say the one from graduating from Southwest Christian School. I worked the hardest for;)

Oh by the way, a famous kid goes to my school! Well maybe not, but out of all the contestants shown on a famous television show here in Sweden, they showed one the students from the second ring. PRETTY AWESOME! I think so at least:P

I went with my family yesterday to there little summer house on an island! SO cute... I woke up and almost forgot where I was. We weren't there long though, I was there about 13 hours and then had to leave to go to balträning this morning at 11...soo intense!

I went to school today...took a while, but i made it:P I woke up and thought, No Chance, but then got some serious motivation to go after listening to Miley Cyrus-The Climb!! LOVE IT!!! Although I think I might of felt more sick when I got to school.....Kerstin(my school mentor) and Helen(my Rotary mentor) called me today in the same day. The quick way to Stress...not even kidding. It's nice that I got to talk to them, just sad when there both within 2 hours.

I went into town after school with two friends. Now when the suns out and its "warm" I start going through town recognizing almost every other person :) Its really awesome! In texas it would be crazy if you ran into someone outside of school. ...We of course had to buy Bosses Glass, The greatest ice cream in Linköping;)

Easter vs. Påsk

HAPPY EASTER!!

Påsk is swedish for easter. So theres really no competition;) I had a great dinner with the family. This past weekend I spend time with friends and family, the perfect balance. I woke up on monday though with everything wrong. My throat, nose, and pretty much every bone in my body hurt. Sick! The fourth time since October!!! And why now! To think on the positive side of things, I gotten enough experience to learn how to take care of myself:P Goal Accomplished... That doesn't mean directly that i can move to a new place and live on my own for a year, maybe a little while;)

Easter in Sweden isn't very different from Easter spent in Texas, maybe instead of a basket to put gifts in, the kids get gifts that the parents or the giver put into large eggs. Heres what I got from my lovelly family:D.......(^the picture above^)

I'm not quite sure what they call this day,Thursday, in english, but its seems to be a very celebrated day in Sweden. I went into town with Nina where I saw another version of a chrismas tree. A tree with NO leaves, and on almost every end of the branches would hang feathers. You can find it everywhere here in Linköping. It's fun with all these decorations. It makes the holiday more enjoyable:P I really want to show pictures, but the whole computer thing is working out right now:( Tonight my family that I'm living with is about to have everyone(in the family) come over to celbrate easter. FunFun:)
It's been a while since i last updated yet again. I should be getting my computer back again, pictures should be going up when I do.
This week I dont have school again! It's the last break before summer...soo many breaks. This might be my most active week too! I'm really starting to use all of my time wisely before I go home again. Just 3 more months left and I'm back in the state of Texas. It's really wierd to think about it.

So it’s almost been entire week since last update! Not so good… Since the last update I have been in Stockholm, I’ve been in school, I’ve been at a rotary lunch with my host mother, and been with some great friends. Oh and worked out twice! YAY! I went to Stockholm and its was most likely one of the longest days I’ve had in a long long time…At least since the day I flew to Sweden(that took a while)… The trip to Stockholm was amazing! We got a little taste of everything(well educationally).
· 8 a.m. leave from school
· 10 a.m. at science museum , where I learned about the evolution of man and homosexual animals? Interesting i must say…
· 11:30 Imax movie about the life under the water- The movie was supposed to have the voices of johnny dept and kate winslet, but for the childrens sake, they were two people from sweden talking over them…
· 2 p.m. went to the swedish government building, only pretty much awesome!
· 4ish had fika in the old town of Stockholm, definitely cute:P
· 6p.m. ran to find dinner before the theater was about to start.
· 6:30 p.m. ate before the play started
· 7 p.m. play started(Charlotte Löwensköld by Selma Lagerlöv)
· 11:00 headed back home(saw twillight with the 20 other trying to watch)
· 1:30 arrived back in Linköping
· 2: a.m. got to sleep 5 hours before school started again

Saturday night I was with some friends and supposedely at around 8ish there was something called earth hour. Kind of awesome. Everyone all over the world was supposed to turn out the lights for an hour. I'm not quite sure if everyone was actually a part of it, but at least we were;)

We had balträning yesterday, and we actually started with the lifts. So much fun!! We haven't gotten it perfect yet, but we will...

Happy 20,000 Days Day Johan!!!

Yesterday my host father turned his 20,000 day yesterday!! I personally thought it was pretty neat:)

I actually accomplished alot yesterday, I was pretty impressed...

Funfun..and that was just yesterday! Today I have had school from 11 till 17(intense). I get my bike today or later tonight after school and will go straight to working out with some friends.

And some new news...I'm getting to go with another exchange student to Stockholm tomorrow...It'll be with school so it'll be an educational experience of course;) I'm soo excited!!!

So I’m thinking the best/worse thing has ever happened on Thursday…My computer lost its capability of being wireless! Haha…i know silly:P It’s rediculous what a big part the internet plays while i’m here in Sweden. It’s my connection to friends and family at home in Texas and helps with projects and my future even(applications)..It’s kind of sick:( Well it gives me an excuse to not do those things that i have to do, but dont really want to do… Back to reality-> Friday I had school(pure awesomeness), got to work out, and for some fun I went to see Confessions of a Shopaholic with Nina. Great movie!!
On the way home from the movie we ran into some of Nina’s friends (it was approximately 11ish) and sat and just talked for a while, when I noticed that it 11.30ish.. The plan was in just about 5 hours head to Göteborg, only like the second largest city in Sweden. We went to go pick up my host sister, Charlotte, from her internship, and stayed over night at a hotel. SO much fun just a relaxing on Saturday and this morning with the Gahm family:) Time was spent shopping, eating great food, and of course seeing Göteborg… On the drive home this morning(3 hours)it started snowing!...again… and 3½ hours later it is still snowing!!

This morning I woke up to sun shining through my window and new right away that I was late to photography, but I had no idea that i missed the entire class! soo sad(I forgot to set my alarm clock)...I had about an hour to get to class, after I got ready, so I used it by walking the long way to school along the river. It was so pretty!

I had a little mini breakdown att school in biology, while we were disecting Kidneys(cute I know). My brain just kind of exploded with stress..makes me a little nervous...and definitely embarassing:( Oh well...

Sunday

Today was a late practice for the ball training, so it was a relaxed tired morning spent on my final application to University of Arlington, Texas. Should be dont by tomorrow or I hope so;) At practice I was getting a little dizzy with all the spins and that was even before the last dance we practiced which was about 6 minutes long! & now before I go to bed, I'm going to see my second Beck movie..so far so good...

Saturday

Yesterday I met mormor before she left to go to the canary islands for two weeks to spend some time in the sun. I went into town to go some shopping and lunch with Lovisa and Nina, before we had movie night with some friends. Before we cooked watch the movie though, we had to see the finally of the Eurovision contest in Sweden! But announcing the winner of the contest wasn't as exciting...It was an opera song, I dont even think it was in swedish...At least we had the movie to cheer us up or at least we were hoping so:P We watched Kingdom of Heaven. Great movie, but hard to see with so many people. I had a hard time understanding what was happening.

Friday

On friday I got to see my first host family again at a family get together. I've grown ridiculously close to them, I saw my 7 year old "brother" and noticed that he lost his two front teeth! OMG..I seriously was on the verge of crying. I have no good reason why I would start crying, but he was just soo cute:) Other than that not soo much happened. Oh, well I had photography.fun.fun.

I think I might really be going crazy, now I'm starting to actually forget things! a little scary... Today not to much has happened, I had school, where I recieved a new assignment for my religion class. I have to right a 1½ to 2 pg. on my pt. of view if i was a 70 yr. old woman living a Jewish life. Definitely an interesting assignment. For physics today, a friend forgot to bring fika, so i stood up("offered") to go into town and buy some goodies for the class:) There was no way we were going to miss fika:P I walked into town after school to find this sign-->, Hannah Montana the new season is finally coming to Sweden;) Just an example of how long it takes to air here...Tonight my host mom(Ann) and I saw the movie The Illusionist, AMAZING movie!!

Sad News: I dont know to much about it, but a shooting at a high school kind of similiar to the Columbine shooting happened yesterday in Germany where 16 people were killed, including the shooter himself(he was only 17 years old)...I just thought this is kind of important. It doesn't just happen in the U.S..

Today I have a no school day...probably the second one since school started in January..and its not exactly a bad thing. Last night i was supposed to go work out, but my foot still hurts from last friday, walking to school is even hard. Anyways...There's still snow outside, wierd to think that i went from being lucky for one day of snow in Texas, to it won't stop snowing in Sweden! It's not exactly a bad thing, but its definitely a weather change for me. I'm definitely enjoying being inside, where its warm, while snow is just falling outside my window;) It's Lovely. Last night to use a great weekday with no school we went to Fredricks house to watch a popular movie series called Beck. It's not bad. It's like CSI but in an entire movie.

So I'm thinking I'm about to really get nervous!! I'm only going to be here 4 more months and its scary. I just saw the episode of when Whitney leaves Lauren to go to the city and they say there farewells...I can't believe I have to do that again. Its going to be soo hard!!!

Thursday- School and Dinner with the girls(Vickan's farewell dinner, she's leaving for Thailand for 3 weeks!)

Friday-Only photography class at school:) work out(where i actually fell and hurt my foot), and later went to friends house where we danced for 3 and a half hours straight(don't ask how, i don't actally know myself)

Saturday- *Shopping* Dinner with Camilla, Nina, and Lina

Sunday- After a fun night bal träning in the morning and afterwards for the rest of the day, relax and sleep:) busybusy

I met a famous man from Sweden on Saturday at the great Chocolate Festival, where I've never seen soo much chocolate in my entire life! CRAZY!!!

Last night me and three other exchange students through Rotary had dinner with the womens Rotary group. We got to share our experiences with them over lasagna and Toscakaka:)

Quick Update on what happened tonight, before I go to bed. I went to the gym tonight with Viktoria for an hour and went in the opposite direction afterwards to go get my bike, that I get to use while i'm with my new family. So we walked about 20 minutes until I finally got my bike, then noticed that the bikes wheels had only little air in them so we went to fill them up. And since I'm so genius, my friend cut his hair and we were pretty much right where he lived so we rode our bikes by fast by his house. After I was ready to ride my bike home and about 5 meters from his house, I got a flat tire! Awesome, I know;) So in - degrees celcius I got walk to where I got the bike, leave it and walk to where the nearest bus could come and get me and wait another 10 minutes in - degrees celcius! LOVELY!!! Needless to say I was happy to be home by the time I got home:P Good times.... I would like to thank Viktoria for being there the entire time:D

Pizza, Sune, and Bring It On...

Last night I walked in my boots 35 minutes to Nathalies apartment to have dinner and fun with some of the girls on the elite golf team. We all had a blast! I came a little earlier to watch Mamma Mia(great movie)! Definitely alot of swedish stuff I need to do before I leave. Something called Sune, a movie from the early 90's approximately an hour was spent repeating lines from the movies. It was fun just listening though ..hihi... We even tried mocking spirit fingers and the intro cheer to Bring It On. It's big here too! I think it might of been the 15th time someone asked me if teenagers in the U.S. are really like the ones in My Super Sweet 16... Shows how much Sweden is being influenced by TV from the U.S. It not really a bad thing, but its not a great thing either.

Yesterday was a day made for shopping with Nina! I have to begin looking for two dresses, well I would like to buy two. The most important one is a white summer dress for graduation. I dont really need it until may but its smart to start looking now;) The second dress is kind of optional. It's for my friends Big 18th Birthday. Its always fun to dress up. After a well spent day in town I cleaned my room, had dinner, and then had some friends over to watch a movie and just hang out:) And now I will be ending my Tuesday with going to the gym with Nina & Vickan...YAY!

I'm really beginning to miss my ball partner... He hasn't been able to make to the last two now, today being the second. I just hope he feels better by next Sunday...cross your fingers;) It's getting kind of difficult for me(the dances are very technical), and i've made for every practice so far. To be on the more positive side of things, it's still blast to go to the practices. I've been lucky enough to practice with others that were also by themself. Thank goodness:P

Last night I went to the LHC hockey game where it went kind of horrible, they scored, we scored, they scored and then they scored(again). Not to fun. It was fun with the company though. I went with my new family and ran into their friend Birgitta Bille. Fun fun. And then to finish the wonderful Valentines Day, a night spent with great friends(and Melodifestivalen(Eurovision)). PERFECT!

I only had two classes today, actually three but the third one I couldn't make it to because of the amazing rotary lunch we had today! Anders was able to get a man with cerebral palsy to come and a motivational speech. I say this alot, but I actually started crying at the end of his speech. He was 44 years old, lives alone, and can do everything on his own! He was simply fantastic!! We had physics before that, where me and two others brought snacks for fika. My new family offered to give two cakes they had made versus me baking... And to top that great act of kindness, the cakes were delicous:) I'll bake next time. I had some time tonight to go into town with Klara, before her and Lovisa go to Austria. Tonight me and 5 otheres got to go to the theater and see something called En Drömspel( a dream game)...i think;) Pure genius, I must say:P

This morning I walked to school again:) I made it to school on time to take a little test on Hinduism vs. Budhism even though it didn't go really well for me, I still want to really learn about all the new religions in the world. It fascinates me. Yesterday I told you how I finished the miljö project well I'm wierd I know, but I thought like sharing with you how it looked. Hannah and Kajsa worked on the intelligent part of the project, while I worked on the decorative part of the project w/ definitely some help from Hannah:P Then we had the biology class where we dissected(pictures below). I walked home for an hour and walked back to school to make it on time for Svenska(swedish class). We had to read poems from our countries in our own language and explain what its about in swedish----------here's the poem I read( Life is Fine by Langston Hughes)-->

I slept in till about 9 this morning and woke up to see that the temperature outside was -4 degrees. I was ready for the sun... I walked to school today. Yay! It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk to school, pretty sweet I must say:) We had biology this morning where we named the parts of the heart. AwEsOMe b/c i learned it two years ago! Tomorrow will truely bring back the memories. We get the opportunity to disect lungs and hearts. Exciting i know;) I ended the day with my environmental(miljö) class, which ended around 4:30. We finished a project and now we don't have our next class till 3 weeks from now.

*I completely forgot to mention that I met a guy from Conneticut yesterday! Well, I met a guy from Conneticut yesterday! Fun!! He went to school at West Virginia(i think). I met him at H&M, I knew he was from USA after I saw him with a baseball hat and nike sneakers(not many people where those in Sweden) and then it helped when he started speaking english with someone who worked there. A story that you can share with friends and family:P

First Night in My New home

So moving was huge mixture of feelings. I was sad to leave my first family, I grew really close with them and I am happy to move in with my new family. We had a "welcome to family" dinner tonight. Which was delicious. Now I'm unpacking getting myself comfortable in my new home, where I will be until June... Long time, but I know its going to go by in a flash. It's kind of scary to think about actually. The sun is starting to come out and it's making Sweden seem just that much more beautiful:) Tomorrow morning I get to walk to school. It turns out that the school is to close to take the bus and with all the slushy snow, its hard to ride my bike. But I'm excited about photography b/c I get to start getting my pictures ready to be made in the dark room(it even sounds cool:P)

Wondering why this post is so late? well, its because today was a good day and I felt like sharing a little with you--> It started with Disney On Ice with Nathalie(which was amazing!), then dinner with my family(at Texas Longhorns Restaurant),

and to finish the day, we watched the premiere of Eurovision! The girl who sang the famous I'm a Big Big Girl in a Big Big World was in the contest(I thought that was neat). Pretty much right after that I went straight to packing...and yes, tonight was the first time I actually started packing, and now it's actually being the same day as I move. Next time I'll be a better planner;) I really hope so at least:P

I'm thinking that Sweden wants to be American. Why you may ask? Well, it turns out Forever 21 is going to open a store here in Sweden and I went to the store the other day(yesterday) and saw Peanut M&M's w/ a big sign saying new candy!!

Next time I post anything I should be in my new house...wish me luck:)

Snow in Febuary?

It kind of feels like alot happened yesterday...even though I don't really think it did. I had school, Swedish Languge History(thats 1 class) and Photography. I did my first ever copies! SO cool!! I couldn't stop thinking of the movies where they have the dark rooms. I looked out the window to see this this morning. AMAZING!(the picture on the left).The question is why when everybody is ready for sun/heat..then comes all the snow? When I got home I noticed that Ulla and Calle were in the process of making a snowman. So I went straight to helping;) It was a very long time ago I madea a real snowman(i've done an iceman)..>>

Last night was a simple night with popcorn and a movie, more specificly The Happening! scary, and not so fun when you ride your bike home alone... Funny story happened before we started the movie, me and two others walked to the store, and on the way back, we notice snowballs coming from behind a vehicle straight at us...making it a challenge, i think. So we started fighting back, but they were definitely prepared. It felt like four would come all at once. It was officially my first snowball war:P

My religion class is officially my new favorite class, well other than photography:P But anyways, Wednesday morning we started the day off with religion and saw a video about the Dalai Lama. Speechless... I feel like I dont want to ever stop talking about it! The thing that really caught me was his love for everyone and everthing and his sense of positivity. I Love Him!(just in that hes so amazing)

Other than that fun fact of the day, I bought a jacket!! And its warm to! suprised? It took a while but I actually did it:)

Back to what I was planning on saying. I woke up this morning thinking, I am going to school today. Which I ended up doing, when i realized after some of Lovisa's wise words, that going home was pretty much the right plan after I had just gotten to school. I passed out by the time I got home and slept 2 hours! I really am tired of this("this being sick")!!!

I took the bus today, thank goodness. Its still freezing outside, but it doesn't look like it at all...its just cold:( Anyways...I took a random picture of the top of building."nothing". I think I might have looked a little wierd? Maybe?

Yesterday was a Saturday, also the day I planned to feel better and do things. So I did. Not exactly the mood I was hoping for, but I did everything I set out to do;) I got the dress, now it will only take 3 months to get. When I left the store I was so happy to leave the store and get air. Oh, and definitely discovered it was a sinus infection. Fun..I know... After I went straight to Ullas to fika(im beginning to seriously love that word). I'm pretty sure I had the greatest Semlor of my life yesterday. SO GOOD. Thats a Semla.

That night I was at the top of game and set out to my friends house to hang out before they moved later into town. I made it there without fainting, so I thought then I could make it at least a little while. Home early was the right choice that night;)

I look like a party pooper, but i wasn't...I promise!...(at least I hope not:P)

There are classes that I'm actually taking this semester that I look forward to taking. This weekend couldn't have been more amazing! Got to go up to Stockholm for one night with great friends to see Chris Brown. And we got home in time to sleep in before the second bal training..SO much fun..I can't really seem to get over it:P Last night I had a great dinner with two great families. My current family were so great as to invite my new to be family. I move in just 13 days from today. Its kind of crazy! Today I had school again. Suprising, I know;) I started with my photography class..I couldn't have started a Monday morning better, other than maybe sleeping a little longer. Did I mention that I set off riding my bike(first time since just a couple of weeks ago, and the time before that was around the first week of December) at 7:15 a.m.. Just driving is difficult, but than having to actually work to get to school in the morning definitely wakes you up. I had biology again this morning(Love It). We're actually learning stuff that I know. Right now its a little of what I learned Junior year in Anatomy. Oh, and then theres the dress... I set out to the store after school today to buy a dress, when it didn't really turn out as planned. It turns out that there are a couple more pretty dresses out there, making my mind more messed up(haha..alot of m's). So I just have to decide no later than Monday...no pressure at all. And then to top off the day, I ended it with a great hockey night Linköping vs. Djurgården(2-1)..Linköping WON!!

So today was a day to relax and not have to stress about the next class to come, instead it was a day to stress about the Ball Dress...the thing I really want to do before the Chris Brown concert. It was just great:)

I got to sleep in a little while this morning..till till 9 a.m., very najs:) but finished school a little later than would have liked, at 4:30ish..we usually finish at 5, but they let us out a little earlier. got a amazing swedish cupcakes today(they call them muffins here). Well, I have been stressed out about alot of things lately, and one of them was the hat you have to where when you gra duate here in Sweden, but thank goodness the paper went up today saying that the fitting(yup..a fitting) will be next Wednesday ..FINALLY! Tomorrow should be really exciting with a six hour break. Meaning 6 hours from the end of first period two the beginning of the last period. Exciting i know;)

My Great Uncle Turned 90!

The main, important reason we went to Åhus at all was to celebrate my great uncle, Sixtens birthday. His real birthday was just yesterday, where he turned the big 9.0. My first 90th birthday party:) I've never been soo proud to be part of his family. It turns out that hes played a huge part in this world!

Lucia, Klasskampen, & Åhus

Friday was a full day! I had a choice b/t sleeping in and waking up early to have some school spirit. And being the one i am I chose to wake up early and show support:) It was totally worth it when i got there! The Lucia was soo pretty, and the Klasskampen was awesome. There is soo much talent at my school! After klasskampen me and some friends when outside to take some fun pictures of the pretty snow in Linköping. And pretty much right after that i got to run to where my family was going to pick me up, which from there we would drive 4 hours south to a little town called Åhus.

Today I had school, but I really don't think I had to be there. The day started with a physics test, that my teacher told me that I didn't have to take. So I went to the library to read my book(Bröderna Lejonhjärta). Then we had Swedish class, where my class had another test. My teacher made me write a summary of the book of how far i had come. I had math where I had alot of energy stored up. I think I kind of lost it. I couldn't stop laughing!! I had my first Tomte Skum Candys of the year:) Me, and Lovisa got a ride from Anders to go to Klaras house where I had dinner and then Klara went with me to see Calle be a little Santa Clause:) SOO CUTE!!

Wednesday was just another crazy day, but a crazy day where I got the chance to sleep in! I only had one class that day and it was at 2 in the afternoon. I love Wednesdays!!! After class I went to Mormors apartment where I had a two hours before I went to the theater across the street:) While I was with Mormor, I got to eat dinner and watch the Nobel Prize! It's so neat that Sweden can play such a big part in peace in the world;)
The play that I went to later that night was alot like Desocialia, but you had to think alot more. It was very deep:)

*Fun Story of the Day* On the way to the theater I had to walk through town, I put on my Christmas music and it started snowing!! It was magical:)

Tuesday was crazy. I barely got to be at home! I left early in the morning to get to school by 8:10 where we had math, and had three two more classes that day, before the last class and the second to last class i had entire 3 hours to waste. Fun stuff:) I had a three hours class as the last class of the day, but my day was not done there. I got to stay to go to the meeting where people that want to dance could find a date. Well it didn't go so well. The commitee that was supposed to be there never ended up coming. I ended up rushing home to be able to get to klaras house so that i could meet her on time to work out with her. OMG! My body was is still in pain and its Thursday. It was definitely the most fun workout I have ever been on! It was great music and dancing:) Two of my favorite things;)

School was fun. In it being school type of way. I went to school thinking I had a first period class, and me being me I forgot that we have no Chemistry anymore. Awesome. Its fun going to school stressed out thinking your late then figuring out that there would be nothing to be stressed over. Oh well. In swedish schools theres something called KlassKampen or as Eric says "It means ClassCamp." Which has absolutely nothing to do with KlassKampen. Well it turns out that its kind of like a talent show but classes compete against each other. I came up with the sweet idea of doing the OkGo dance--->

It turns out we would only have four days to learn it, so it wasn't exactly the greatest idea in the world:)

After school we had another exchange students meeting with Kerstin:) We got an amazing cheescake!! So yummmy!! I went with Julia and Bertha to there swedish class, totally last minute where I got to be an assistant while the rest of the class made gingerbread cookies and answered christmas questions. I got to help. I was pretty sweet;)

I also got to go to Brontes rotary meeting tonight. Not much happened there. There was a Christams tree there that was really pretty:)

Last night was alot of fun. Just hanging out with friends and celebrating being alive for 18 years! Definitely something to celebrate... Me and five other girls celebrated Vickans Birthday by going out to eat at a Greek restaurant in town. Soo good! I had some mousaka, which it turns out i cant pronounce right and ended up saying moosekaka... I said it right when I asked for it after alot of practrice. We went to a friends house for a while to play some games;) It was definitely a fun night! I also was able to learn alot of interesting things about people and the culture I live in now(swedish culture).

Thursday the last ever Chemistry test happened. YAY!! i mean..uhhh..aww.. Well now since there is no more chemistry biology is taking its place. But that should be good, I definitely liked biology more than chemistry in high school.

Friday was tough. The day was just hard mentally I think, but it ended pretty well. In psychology we saw The Wave, a movie about manipulation. A REALLY GOOD MOVIE. Its just kind of creepy... I went into town after school. By the time I got into town it was pitch black outside and the lights light up, to make the city seem a little bit brighter. But there totally gorgeous. It almost(ALMOST) worth going into town freezing, to just see the lights:) Idol was on Friday night. Only one more episode till the finally. It was kind of sad, b/c my favorite from the beginning was Robin and he was the one who got voted off...But it should be fun to see who wins next week.

School was pretty much empty today... Theres a final Chemistry test tomorrow, the last one for everyone in my class ever. This morning i think i might of gotten one of the coolest wake up calls ever! The Funny Buddy, randomly called me(through skype) at 6 am to tell me he was going to bed, and tease me a little... right after my cell phone alarm rang. I thought it was pretty awesome:P Probably wouldn't be as awesome though if I didn't have to wake up I must say...But anyways, the reason I woke up so ridiculously early was to get a ride to school, where I was going to go on a field trip into Stockholm(the greatest city in the world). My "biology" class and I were all off to see the Nature & History Museum. It was alot of fun actuallly. It took a while, but I ended up getting to walk through a whales stomach. I felt a little like pinocchio:) Me and three others got to see a Underwater Monsters in 3D in the Imax theater for 50 kroner...It doesn't get scarier than that...Oh, and Texas was featured in the movie(appromimately 15 seconds) for finding fossils, which I think I have been in the same place they showed... There was something called the Climate Show, pretty much something that Al Gore would have have probably created. There was a room where you could watch a video of tragic weather stories and you felt a little as if you were there b/c there were air and light machines in the room, so they pushed me around a little. Thats how you have fun on a Tuesday. We all got back home around 6 pm where I headed straight to my g-mothers apartment to have dinner. I might have fallen asleep at the table, b/c when Ulla asked me a question, I had no idea what she was talking about, pretty much solving the whole I have to go to bed.

Today was probably the best Monday in a long time! It also turned out to be viktorias birthday. There was no way the day was going to go by without celebrating. So we ended up singing happy birthday to her infront of about 100-200 ppl in the cafeteria(not exactly sure how many were in there at the time)...

We all put X# of money into buying here cake, that was pretty much amazing. After school I went some shopping with Klara & Nina before they left to go study for chemistry. So RIDING MY BIKE today was not exactly the greatest idea i have ever had. It ended up raining on the way home. My glasses ended up fogging and i could barely see anything, but it was definitely better when your with friends. I talked to allison when I got home. LOVE HER! I got to show here the awesomest thing ever. I got an advent calender, with a High School Musical theme, from Ulla. So cool. So now everyday I can have a peace of chocolate before christmas. GNARLY!

Last night/this morning we got to celebrate Lovisa's 18th Birthday!! Yaya! It started at 6 where all the girls came over and had dinner then boys came around 8:30. Definitely loved having dinner with just girls though. There were even speeches and singing and games. Then the guys came and started the party:) It was fun, alot of fun "high school" drama, but fun. I'm not going to lie, but it seems to be hard for young adults to have a party without an alchoholic beverage so me and Jessika thought why not prove them wrong! Jessika ended up making beautiful drinks that were tasty and not alcholic:)

I caught up with Nathalie one of my oldest friends Saturday moring to hang out. We ended up going to Pelle Svanslös a play she was going to work at. It was only an hour long play played by 10 to 16 year old actors and actressess. Pelle Svanslös(meaning=Pelle Has No Tail) is pretty much another version of the ugly duckling but with cats instead. It was soo cute!! Theo's(alfalfa's) little brother played Pelle.
We walked back through town afterwards to find something for me to wear for Lovisa's B-Day party, But could never find anything. Nathalie ended up saving my night by letting me borrow something she had that was SUPERCUTE!
I ended up getting home at 4:40, where I was supposed to meet Nina in exactly an hour, and i was no where near close to be done. That's awesome. Anders and Ulla got to watch me run through the house trying to get ready as fast as humanly possible!

Friday after school I went shopping with Nina and Vickan. We pretty much went to every little store in town. Including the little purse store(where my mom had her first job). It turns out that little store is closing down after 40 long years...So sad... We ran into Camilla and Daniel in their class, not much more happened while in town then.

BUT LATER, around 9ish Nina picked me up to go meet lovisa and jessica to see TWILIGHT!!!! OMGOMGOMG!!! Definitely a new favorite movie.

Edward kind of actally looks creepy in this picture^He doesn't look that scary in the movie.

Another school day with cold weather and alot of wetness. My weekend is completely planned already, soo excited. I was planned to go to something called Tjejkväll in Town, but me and Ulla both agreed on not going through with it. I'm thinking Novemeber should be nicknamed Sleepy Month. Its the first time the sun starts leaving earlier and coming later...Not exactly the most enthusiastic days of the year.

So today is Thanksgiving in America. Weird!! I got the opportunity to see most of my amazing family through skype tonight and it was totally amazing. I love all of them soo much. I can't wait to be able to see them in a year:)

A Day of Snow in Linköping!!

Some quick pts. of the day:

I looked outside to see that there was snow and more snow falling down.
I took the for the first time ever!!!......I took the bus all by myself...yay.. You have to slide a card t be able to go on the bus( I put it in wrong twice). I got off at the wrong stop and ended up walking a distance to school;) I just got to nervous. The button your supposed to push to get off the bus looked to scary to me. Other than that it went quite well:) I had Chemistry and Physics today.
Got tickets for hockey game tomorrow: Linköping vs. Modo.
Still snowing.
I took the bus home w/ the company of Alex & Viktoria. fun. fun.

Cleaned my room...finally... from some help of Allison while getting into the Christmas spirit by listening to Christmas music on the radio:)

This weekend, well since Friday, has definitely been a little of everything. Friday was the Häfvet thing, Saturday was a movie/game night, and today was taking a break for the rest of the week.Häfvet was different, fun, but different. The night started by going to Lovisa's house/room...I don't really want to say it, but I'm thinking hanging out at Lovisas house might of been a little bit more fun than going to Maxim(the club). It was freezing and on the way home it actually started snowing a little bit, not so fun when you only have a pair of tights on...

Last night was exactly what I needed after the night out. Just hanging out at a friends house:) Ice cream, game(charades but with only words), and the movie Hitch. When I got home YouTube live was on, who knew soo many different kinds of talents were/are hiding on youtube?

This morning I lost track of time. As usual.. I couldn't stop pressing the snooze button:) As I finally rushed out the door ready to leave. This is what I saw....

...Snow/Frost!!!

I got excited today telling people that there was snow outside...some said back yay, and some responded w/ it not snow it frost! I personally like to call it snow:) Today at school i got to make my mini speech in psychology. It was kind of fun... I definitely felt that I could of done better, but my group thought it went well. *Funny* thing happened today that I think most likely could only happen in Sweden. At the end of the day I was sitting in the hallway with some friends and all of a sudden a guy come into the hallway with an accordion and starts playing for some of his friends...I'm quite sure that most likely would not happen at Southwest Christian School.

Actually at this very moment its snowing outside my window!!!

Tonight is Katedral vs. Berzelius Skolan to see who can drink the most! The craziest thing about this competition isn't the fact that it's high school students seeing who can kill the most brain cells, but the fact that the money made from tonight is going to the schools...meaning that the schools know about this event! In Texas this would be treated very differently I believe...

Thursday night, last night, while Ulla and Anders(my host parents) were at the opera, I had the great plessure of babysitting Calle(my cousin). It was fun:) Me and Calle got presents from Ulla and Anders. Calle got some candy & pokemon stuff, and I got the BEST thing ever..kind of.. I got a bus card!! I'm soo excited. I was thinking about using it for today, but I didn't have the guts. I'm a little scared...Well after a movie and decorating for Calles Halloween party for tonight, it was time for him to go to bed. Klara came over to work on a psychology project we have and when we finished she ended up helping to decorate. It made me really miss halloween in texas. Before Calle went to bed..him and Klara teamed up to freak me out, by tossing spiders at me..so not cool!!

I'm going to the Chris Brown Concert!! Last night I got a text from Nina, saying that she had officially purchased the tickets for the Chris Brown concert January 23rd in Stockholm!!

And something I have been waiting for has finally arrived the premiere of Twilight! Because I can't see it by myself I am trying to be patient enough to see it tomorrow w/ friends:) Can't wait!!

In Sweden schools have something called studiedag, when translated means day to study pretty much. School is cancelled is cancelled for all high school students. There scattered through out the year, and now Katedralskolan has been lucky enough to have to of them this week:) Yesterday and today. I went to Klaras house yesterday to work a bipolar project thats due Friday.
It turns out that there is going to be Chris Brown concert in the end of Janurary, that I'm totally hoping I'll be able to go to...
-----The "I Hate Spiders Story"- So my cousins having a Halloween party on Friday and well they've started to take out all the decorations. He ended up finding a huge disgusting spider!!! He thought it was funny when he came in my room and started throwing it at me, until I started crying....Well the next happened jus last night when i got home from Klaras house around midnight, so i was ready for bed.. Right when pulled off the blanket to go into bed the spider was hiding there!!!! It took 5 minutes by itself just to take a magazine to hit it out...and that is how you ruin a good night.....

My plan for this morning was to take the bus, but the sun ended up shining so I rode my bike instead. As soon as I got outside I noticed the saddle on my bike was covered in ice from last night. Not exactly the coolest thing ever, well close, maybe;)

By the time I got to school, I was happy to go into a warm building. It turns out that everyones getting sick now...soo sad...4 people were missing from just my class.

On the menu for dinner were the delicious Waffles! Its right up there with pancakes:)

Yesterday I ended up only having psychology, where we got to learn of gross techniques to get rid of mental illnesses from the 40's. The funny thing about this was that we saw the same movie I saw when I was in psychology las year, when I was going to SCS. Weird!!! We got to learn about phobias and OCD too. Well after the "long" day at school me, Lovisa, Klara, and Jessika, walked into town to have lunch and go some shopping. *Funny story: Jessika was explaining how Klara, Lovisa, and Einstein were born late. Then I asked who Einstein was. At the exact same second all three of them looked at me w/ the exact same stare. Then I felt stupid, I thought there was someone in our class nicknamed Einstein or something. Didn't exactly feel awesome when they were actually talking about the Genius Einstein:)* Oh well..like goes on and I learn from my mistakes;) Last night I ended up having some friends over for Idol 2008 and Sex and the City. It's always nice to take a break from a long week...Today I'm feeling its another good day to be spent on applications...
